Oregon: The legislature wants to get rid of our tax cap

IPCPR member, The Oregon legislature is in full swing and once again we are on the defensive to protect our businesses. HB-2158 & HB-2270 as introduced would remove the current $0.50/cigar tax cap that has kept us competitive against online sales. If removed cigars would be taxed at a rate of 65% of the manufacturer’s list price. We request that you contact the Oregon state legislature and request a “NO” vote on these bills.
